Here are just a few faqs about me :)

Who am I?
My name is Rachael, and I'm from Ontario, Canada.

Are you a professional makeup artist?
Not really! I am fully self-taught by educating myself and practicing. I do freelance, but I am actually a genetics student and am graduating this year. I just really love makeup, reading about makeup, and talking about makeup!

Do you get these products for free?
Again, nope! Any products I test and review or swatch are all bought by me.

What is your favourite makeup brand?
I am pretty open to trying all makeup lines but by far my favourite is MAC. Just for its quality and range of product, I am just in love with it!

How did you learn what you know about makeup?
I don't profess to know EVERYTHING, that is impossible! And there are many people who know more than me. Anything I know about makeup I have learned from makeup books, watching youtube makeup videos, reading about makeup on the internet, participating in online makeup communities and from experimenting!

A Word of Advice When You Shop At MAC...

I'm sure this has happened to many of you. It has happened to me twice already and I don't actually go into MAC that often, since I order a lot from the website. So the advice I am giving you today is....always ALWAYS double check your purchases! MAC products are stored in the drawers in alphabetical order so it is VERY easy for the MA to grab the wrong product, ring it up, and send you on your way and you won't notice until you get home. The first time the MA gave me Sable instead of Satin Taupe and luckily I noticed right before I left the mall. But today I was at a MAC counter and a completely different MA gave me Trax instead of Tilt! Which are very different colours, Trax is a shimmering plum while Tilt is a light sort of blue-green. I didn't notice until I got home and then had to drive back to the mall to exchange it which was kind of a hassle.
I'm definitely not blaming the MAs, they are human and likely to make mistakes every now and then. So it is in your best interest to check the products you are given before you leave the store and save yourself a trip!
